| The Conventual
Franciscans are called also "the friars of the
community" because they constitute a family living
together in a convent. Being in the community though is
not an isolation or an escape from the world, but a
fraternal commitment to understand more the person who
lives besides me. For this reason the "father"
of the community is called "guardian", the one
who looks onto his children and carrying on his
ministry as servant of the friars. The members
collaborate in a fraternal life bearing in mind their
mission: to serve God with all their hearts and to be
with the people in the world promoting justice and peace. |
